I am just a seasoned stylist born and raised in Northern California.

So I am assuming you are curious about what I am planning on posting in the Disney category...

A little more background before we begin on this magical journey...

Being raised in the 90s by two die hard Disney fans is quite possibly my favorite part about my childhood. My mom and dad were both raised in different ways, neither really visiting Disneyland in their childhood on a regular basis. My mom started it all, she immediately latched onto the magic and imagination of Disney. When my parents met, they would vacation together to Disneyland; they would do it all....such as eat at the Blue Bayou, ride the Matterhorn, and fly on Peter Pan. I love that about them.

So after they got married and had my brother and I, we were raised with Disney. We would watch our Disney VHS tapes on repeat, memorizing every detail. And on top of that, our parents would take us to Disneyland all the time. Those were our vacations. We would be at the park at opening, and we would close the park; both times of the day we cherish even now.

During high school, Disney took a back seat. Grades, extra curricular activities, Band, Friends.... all were on our mind back then....

But in December 2014, my parents surprised us with tickets to Disneyland for Christmas! We had not been as a family in quite a long time. Once we were at the park, the rents gave us ANNUAL PASSES. This changed everything. Convenience, Cost, VIP treatment... the perks went on and on. It opened our eyes to the world beyond the kiddo-lyfe.

That year we ended up spending over a months worth of days at the Disneyland Resort.

Now that my brother and I are older, we tend to venture more towards the magic behind it all. We follow the pages, the imagineers, the disney characters, the YouTubers, the cast members... We are engulfed in the world of Disney. We pride ourselves in our knowledge and enthusiasm.

(I have much more to say about WHY Disney means so much to me. I truly believe that it is a corporation and name that deserves everything and more as well as my support and encouragement. All that will be addressed in another post....)

So on to the actual subject of this post....

March 19-21, 2017

This trip was primarily a foodie trip. The California Food and Wine festival was going on. Very good affordable food and treats for good package deals as well as local wine and beer tasting. This trip I had the Duck Confit and the Bacon Mac and Cheese from the carts. Bomb.com!

My favorite beer in the park now is the Red Trolley Ale from Karl Strauss. There is a blue beer truck located behind the pier in California Adventure between the Boudin Bakery and Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land.

We also freakin love Tortilla Joes. It is located in Downtown Disney and they have the best margaritas. Their table side guacamole is also a must. Service is always good, and the food is fresh and delicious. Also the people watching is on point over there.

There are not many places for decent margs in the resort for a good price. I feel like this is the good go-to.

It is my mom's birthday soon so we had a birthday dinner at the Blue Bayou. If you don't already know, the Blue Bayou is the restaurant that sits alongside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in New Orleans Square. We had dinner reservations for 9pm. They worked out great, since it was a weeknight we did not have to arrange our dinner around the fireworks (which are usually 9:25 on weekends). I had the Salmon which was very good, it came with a Cajun basil sauce and mashed potatoes. The fam had filet mignon and lobster tails. All very good! But this place is for sure a treat. It should be the biggest meal of the trip, its worth it.

Another food craving we had this trip was ice cream. Im pretty sure my brother had 3 Haaaaaagan Das* (lol) milkshakes (in Downtown Disney) this entire trip! Don't get me wrong, its delicious, but I prefer Gibson Girl on Main Street. It feels more...... cozy.

In New Orleans Square we had some Clam Chowder bowls. Now, Ive been raised with Boudin and SF Sourdough bread...... but this stuff is really good. Grab a bowl and sit along the Rivers of America and people watch. You will not be disappointed.

One of our other favorite restaurants we visited was Flo's V-8 Cafe. It is located inside Cars Land and it has the best diner food. I love the Rotiserrie Chicken. The Turkey sandwich is bomb too. And you have to get the Pasta salad and a Racer 5 beer to top it off.

Now do not forget.... We brought along our own refreshments. Screwdrivers and Greyhounds all morning to start the day off right! All it takes is a brief trip to Safeway (Vons) for those essentials.

Thank you all for tuning in! More to come....Always.
